The KUHN BKE Series of landscape shredders provide rugged durability and long life when it comes to maintaining grassy areas such as parks, pastures, and large commercial orchards and nurseries. The optimized shredding box profile ensures that large volumes of plant residues can be shredded while limiting power consumption. Equipped with a roller positioned very close to the rotor, the machine follows the ground perfectly and achieves excellent decomposition.

Metal Lining

A bolted 4 mm thick sheet metal lining inside the hood minimizes wear and provides additional protection against foreign objects.

Skids

Fixed Two-Position or Hydraulic Sliding Offset Hitch

The fixed two-position hitch allows operation behind, or offset at 11”-18” to the right. The hydraulic sliding offset hitch allows on-the-go offset of the machine for mowing around obstacles.

Articulated and Universal Knives

The articulated and universal knives feature a special self-sharpening design with a “scoop” that lifts and cuts grass. (Other knives are available for mowing in rocky or irregular conditions.)

Rear Roller or Wheels

For intensive work, the roller has removable ends and is fitted with reinforced roller bearings for lower maintenance and replacement costs. The 6” diameter roller gives full width, adjustable height control. Complete with scraper to maintain accurate cutting height. It also provides good residue/soil contact with even ground pressure across the width of the machine.

Semi-pivoting action from optional pneumatic wheels allow use without lifting on corners. Adjustable in height (and spacing when attached to support bar), wheels are a great choice for use in row-crop applications and for rolling terrain.
