Great Plains Yield-Pro® 1630F | 16-Row Planter | Dry Fertilizer

The Yield-Pro® 1630F from Great Plains is a 16-Row Planter that combines the efficiency of one-step bulk dry fertilizer application and 30" row spacing. It utilizes a single 100-bushel poly hopper to hold dry fertilizer and our field-proven air drill metering system that accurately delivers fertilizer to every row.

The ground-driven fertilizer delivery system incorporates star wheel meters and a Zero-Max Gearbox to make fine-tuning fertilizer rates simple and easy. Seeding is also driven with a ground drive wheel on each planter section. Each row holds a 2-bushel seed hopper for a total capacity of 32 bushel. An optional 1-bushel insecticide hopper can also be added. A DICKEY-john® PM 400 monitors seed flow and includes blockage monitoring on each fertilizer tower hose.

The row unit is a 30 Series Opener with double-v closing wheels. The double disk opener features a 15" diameter 4mm thick blade, 205 triple-lip-sealed bearing, and 1/2" leading opener blade.

The YP-1630F is designed with a robust 30' working width, but folds to a narrow 12'6" without insecticide or 13'4" with insecticide for safe and easy road travel.

Product Features

VANTAGE I DRY FERTILIZER COULTERS

Utilize a 38cm patented turbo coulter blade. Air drill style metering feeds fertilizer to a placement of 7.6cm from the row and 5.1cm deeper than the seed.

SUPERIOR FLEX

Designed to flex in the field up to 6 degrees and 9 degrees down, the 1630F ensures precise following of ground conditions from side to side.

PRECISION PLANTING POPULATION MAXTM

(Finger Pick-up) Finger design accommodates a broad range of seed sizes and shapes, while a stiffer finger holder keeps fingers firmly on top of the seed.

NARROW TRANSPORT

Planter folds to a narrow 4 meter transport width for safe and easy road travel. Machines fitted with optional unit mount turbo coulters fold to a 4.2 meter transport width.

30 SERIES ROW UNIT

The 30 Series Row Units are a wide mounted version of the very successful 25 Series Row Unit used on other Yield-Pro(R) Planters. They are designed to plant more accurately, last longer, and be easier to maintain than the competition.
