A 6.7L, 6-cylinder engine provides the same torque and maximum boosted engine horsepower as its diesel counterpart, but with quieter operation, less vibration, and an estimated 30% reduction in running costs to further enhance your bottom line. This engine is compatible with biomethane and compressed natural gas (CNG), utilizing stoichiometric combustion that was pioneered in 1995 for clean combustion and low emissions. Gas injectors and spark plugs replace the diesel injector, with gas being injected into each cylinder for constant, clean combustion.

FUEL FLEXIBILITY

For flexibility with your operation, both biomethane and CNG can be utilized as fuel. Multiple fuel tanks provide 49 gal. (185L) of capacity standard. These tanks are conveniently filled with a single port located on the left side of the tractor between the step plates. To monitor fuel pressure, a gauge is located beside the fuel port while two test ports can be found on the front and rear of the tractor. For extended periods between fill-ups, the front-mounted range extender offers an additional 71 gal. (270L) of fuel capacity with a bolted connection to a port on the front of the tractor.

A simple, maintenance-free 3-way catalyst is used for after-treatment, eliminating the need for exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) and selective catalytic reduction (SCR) components, as well as diesel exhaust fluid (DEF). For you, this means unobstructed visibility, consistent engine performance, and greater savings to your bottom line.

Compared to emission limits allowed under European Stage V emissions regulations, the T6.180 Methane Power tractor produces 98% less particulate matter, 90% less non-methane hydrocarbons, 75% less carbon monoxide, and 62% less nitrogen oxides. When running biomethane, a 10% to 15% reduction in CO2 is achieved for a negative emission profile.

New Holland T6.180 Methane PowerEasy to set up and truly effective, Auto Transport and Auto Field modes can reduce the effort required to operate the T6.180 Methane Power tractor over a long working day. With Auto Transport, the tractor shifts like an automatic vehicle. Auto Field mode manages both the engine speed and transmission to optimize performance and economy. In PTO applications where a constant engine speed is the priority, the system will select the transmission ratio to match the load on the engine. In draft applications, the engine speed is allowed to drop to fully exploit the available torque rise before selecting a lower ratio under load conversion of over 95%, all while guaranteeing low fluid consumption.

A column-mounted electrohydraulic power shuttle lets you make easy directional changes without taking your hand off the steering wheel. The innovative memory shuttle system saves you time by speeding up cycle times. First, select the ratio you need in forward direction, shuttle, then shift to your desired reverse ratio. From now on, the tractor will automatically shuttle between your selected forward and reverse gears. You can also regulate the aggressiveness setting with the switch of a button. Select soft for general field work, standard for daily tasks or the aggressive position for near instantaneous direction changes during loader work. Even better, you can adjust the setting while on the move.

TERRAGLIDE™ FOR COMFORT AND STABILITY

For increased productivity in the field and maximum comfort at high transport speeds, choose the Terraglide front axle suspension system. This system offers a longer wheelbase plus up to four inches of travel for better stability, control and drawbar pull. Not only does it cushion you from shocks when traveling over uneven surfaces, it also maintains contact between the tire and the ground to improve traction. Terraglide also features anti-dive and anti-squat logic which prevents excessive suspension movement when lifting heavy three-point hitch implements. The result? Less fatigue over long working days, as whole-body movements are significantly reduced.

REMOTES

The T6.180 Methane Power tractor comes standard with two mechanical rear remotes. Three or four mechanical remote valves are optional. Two or three electrohydraulic mid-mount remote valves are also available to operate a front loader. These remotes are controlled with an ergonomic, fully-integrated joystick.

HYDRAULIC FLOWNew Holland T6.180 Methane Power

A 29.9-gpm (113 l/m) closed-center load-sensing (CCLS) pump is standard to power even the most demanding implements. This CCLS system is designed to operate at peak efficiency, so full hydraulic power is always available at the remote valves and 3-point linkage, but only as much as needed to keep fuel consumption low. Regardless of how hard the tractor is working, steering will always remain light and easy to use, and loader cycle times remain uncompromised thanks to a separate 12.4-gpm service pump or optional 17.2-gpm pump when fitted with a Class 4 front axle.

REAR THREE-POINT HITCH

The maximum lift capacity is an impressive 11,649 lbs. (5284 kg) (OECD, 24" behind the lower lift link balls, through the range of motion). The rear linkage and hydraulics are designed to work with heavy-mounted equipment over extended periods. This system also incorporates integral dynamic ride control shock load protection, which reduces bounce when traveling with a heavy linkage load at transport speeds. Fender-mounted controls for the rear linkage, a rear remote and the PTO are available.

ELECTRONIC DRAFT CONTROL

A single raise/lower switch makes it simple to lift and return an implement to work during a headland turn. New Holland’s ergonomic mouse is positioned just to your right, exactly where you need it for ultimate precision. To fine-tune the system, you can use the intuitive controls that are found underneath the armrest.
