Getting the right nutrients to seedlings early in the season is a challenge because fall-applied fertilizers limit the plant’s uptake in the spring. FurrowJet firms the seed in the trench while placing bands of fertilizer on and near the seed, so early roots can access essential nutrients at the perfect time, ensuring that plants are never hungry. |
Phosphorus Doesn't MovePhosphorus fertilizer does not move in the soil, which means that it needs to be placed where a plant will be able to access it. Broadcasting the immobile nutrient across the entire field doesn't make sense, because it won't move to the rows where the plants are. |
Phosphorus is Needed EarlyPhosphorus is responsible for cell division and elongation and is needed early in a plant's life in the highest quantity. Considering the lack of movement of the fertilizer and the plant's need for P early in it's life, it makes sense to apply a phosphorus starter with the planter. Seedling roots and early crown roots of some crops will take up phosphorus; thus determining the ideal placement of the fertilizer. Feeding the soil in the fall and hoping to get some of the nutrient back for the plants in the spring can be improved upon by moving some of the fall application to a planter applied band.

Peanuts
Row overlap during planting makes it troublesome for diggers at harvest time. You can easily manage row-by-row shut off when you use Precision Planting technology and you’ll reduce your spend on extra seed. You can even eliminate a sprayer pass when you apply insecticides/nematicides while planting with the same technology. |
Corn
You face multiple decisions throughout the corn growing season. Precision Planting technology helps make those decisions easier with in-cab data to allow you to make better decisions in the moment. This technology powers systems that control population, downforce, liquid application, multi-hybrid planting, and high-speed planting, all while sensing the furrow. |
Cotton
Getting a well-emerged stand of cotton is imperative to getting both yield and quality at harvest, but current planting equipment limits a cotton seed’s ability to emerge well. Precision Planting products ensure that your seed population, depth, and environment is perfect, giving each seed the opportunity to emerge, grow, and thrive. |
Sunflowers
Meters are not one size fits all for sunflowers, but performance of singulation and spacing is key for consistent head size. That’s why we’ve designed and offer multiple seed disks to plant your sunflowers consistently and offer technology to avoid delays in emergence for your sunflowers. |
