MODELS T5.130 AND T5.140

The two most powerful T5 tractor models are powered by an FPT Industrial NEF four-cylinder, 4.5-liter engine that produces maximum horsepower ranging from 130-140 hp. The NEF 4.5 liter engine has an ideal power curve, delivering peak power at 1800 rpm, which is perfectly aligned with the most frequently used engine speeds for both PTO and road work.

ECOBLUE™ HI-ESCR 2 EXPLAINED

The T5.130 and T5.140 comply with Stage 5 emissions standards, which mandate a further 40% reduction of Particulate Matter content compared to previous Tier 4B / Stage 4 regulations. This is achieved thanks to the new HI-eSCR 2 technology developed by FPT Industrial. This innovative after-treatment system is a maintenance-free, patented solution that minimizes operating costs.

The NEF 4.5 liter engine features a compact and simple layout that is EGR-free and has been neatly packaged under the hood, resulting in improved visibility, extreme productivity and reliability.

These T5 Series tractor models feature 3.4-liter, 4-cylinder, 16-valve engines with common-rail fuel injection to maximize power and efficiency. These super-quiet engines develop between 107 and 117 hp and up to 362 lbs.-ft. (491 Nm) of torque for guaranteed productivity. Add in a power-to-weight ratio of 85.7 lbs/hp and you have a perfect farming partner.

Low emissions are achieved with the ECOBlue™ Compact HI-eSCR System (Selective Catalytic Reduction) with light CEGR (Cooled Exhaust Gas Recirculation). This solution requires no Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) and no need for regeneration or operator input or the inconvenience of stopping. It all adds up to outstanding efficiency, which is what you’ve come to expect of the Clean Energy Leader.

THE IMPORTANCE OF TRANSIENT RESPONSE

Transient response is your productivity guarantee. Because your T5 engine breathes only clean fresh air, it can react more quickly when placed under load. When you’re transporting fully loaded trailers or grain carts and you encounter a hill, you’ll be able to maintain constant forward speed with quicker engine rpm recovery.

SIMPLE ENGINE SPEED MANAGEMENT

A versatile mid-size tractor needs to be equally suited to PTO and heavy draft applications. With Engine Speed Management (ESM), the advanced engine management system precisely fuels the engine so it accommodates fluctuations in engine load while maintaining the desired engine speed. For convenience, two engine speeds can be memorized. You can then simply toggle between the speeds using a button on the transmission controller.

In applications where a constant PTO speed is required, just select ESM to ensure the speed is maintained even under changing loads. In many applications, this allows you to maintain a fixed forward speed in difficult terrain.

AUTO COMMAND™ CVT

New Holland T5 Series T5.120 Dual Command™

You control the multi-award winning Auto Command CVT using the intuitive CommandGrip™ handle. It allows you to change speed and direction, and IT responds based on force-based movement. You can set three target speeds and easily change between them. You can also choose from four driving modes to match your driving style:

  • Auto Mode. Once the desired target speed is achieved, Auto Command™ will match the engine and transmission to maintain it.
  • Cruise Mode. Cruise Mode allows the operator to achieve a set target speed at the touch of a button, and to maintain the speed for economy and productivity.
  • Manual Mode. Allows the operator to manually set the required engine and forward speed, independently of each other.
  • PTO Mode. As soon as the PTO is engaged, Auto Command will operate to achieve a constant engine speed.

(Available on T5.130 and T5.140 models only)

DYNAMIC COMMAND™ SEMI-POWERSHIFTNew Holland T5 Series T5.120 Dual Command™

The 24x24 Dynamic Command™ transmission enables you to shift between eight gears under load, without changing ranges. These carefully designed speeds within each range correspond directly with common field work or transporting ground speeds — eliminating operator range shifts mid-task for greater productivity.
• New Holland Ground Speed Management II (GSM II) manages both engine and transmission speeds to optimize performance and economy. It is simple to set up, using CVT-like functionality to dependably analyze data relating to the setting you choose, engine load and forward speed.
• The Dynamic StartStop feature allows for clutch-free loader work. When working at lower operating speeds, simply depress the brake when coming to a stop, and when you release the brake pedal, the tractor will automatically shuttle and start to move again.

(Available on T5.130 and T5.140 models only)

16X16 ELECTRO COMMAND™ SEMI-POWERSHIFT New Holland T5 Series T5.120 Dual Command™

The Electro Command™ transmission gives you eight thumb-button powershifts without making a shift lever range change. You can see the selected gear at a glance thanks to the large gear display. Top transport speeds of 25 mph (40 kph) are achieved at a mere 2040 rpm (with 18.4-34 rear tires). The result? Your T5 will slash your fuel bills while reducing in-cab noise.

(Available on T5.110 and T5.120 models only)

AUTOSHIFT MODES FOR COMFORT AND PRODUCTIVITY New Holland T5 Series T5.120 Dual Command™

Add the AutoShift option with the Electro Command transmission and gear shifting is taken care of for you automatically. With Auto Transport, the tractor shifts seamlessly through eight speeds like a vehicle with an automatic transmission. Auto Field mode manages both the engine speed and transmission to optimize performance and economy.

In power-take-off (PTO) applications, where a constant engine speed is the priority, the system will select the transmission ratio to match the load on the engine. In draft applications, engine speed is allowed to drop to fully exploit the available torque rise before selecting a lower ratio under load.

ERGONOMIC POWER SHUTTLE WITH 3 AGGRESSIVENESS SETTINGS New Holland T5 Series T5.120 Dual Command™

You can operate the convenient, column-mounted electro hydraulic power shuttle without taking your hand off the wheel for increased safety during loader work. You can even regulate the shuttle aggressiveness setting with an ergonomically positioned switch. Select soft for general field work, standard for daily tasks and the aggressive position for near instantaneous direction changes during loader work. You can even change the setting while on the move.

24X24 DUAL COMMAND™ TRANSMISSION New Holland T5 Series T5.120 Dual Command™

This easy-to-use transmission makes a big difference in your day. It gives you a Hi-Lo speed in each of the four gears within the three ranges. Simply use the push buttons on the side of the control lever. In addition, the Dual Command transmission offers a PowerClutch button that allows you to shift between gears within a range without clutching with your foot, as well as a smooth, left-hand electrohydraulic shuttle lever that conveniently returns to the central rest position for quick direction changes. Select from three shuttle aggressiveness settings using a rocker switch.

(Available on T5.90, T5.100, T5.110 and T5.120 models only)

RUGGED AND MANEUVERABLE

T5 Series tractors are designed with a wheelbase, chassis and turning radius calculated to make it easy to maneuver wherever you need to work. Even the largest T5.130 and T5.140 models offer compact dimensions. Standing at 8’ 10” (2.7 m) in height, these models can slip into even the lowest livestock sheds. The low overall hood height of 75 in. (1.9 m) provides extra visibility in all applications, but is invaluable when feeding livestock and loader work.

T5 Series tractors feature heavy-duty front axles – your choice of a Class 1.5 fixed axle (Class 1.75 axle for the T5.130 and T5.140 models) or the Terraglide™ suspended front axle.

TERRAGLIDE™: OUTSTANDING TRACTION, UNSURPASSED COMFORTNew Holland T5 Series T5.120 Dual Command™

For increased productivity in the field and maximum comfort at high transport speeds, choose the Terraglide front axle suspension system. Not only does it cushion the operator from shocks when traveling over uneven surfaces; the system maintains contact between the tire and the ground to improve traction, control and drawbar pull.

TERRALOCK™ AUTOMATIC TRACTION MANAGEMENTNew Holland T5 Series T5.120 Dual Command™

New Holland’s renowned Terralock system is simple to setup and operate. It automatically controls four-wheel drive and differential lock engagement. Forward speed and steering angle information dictate engagement. When making tight turns, the system automatically disengages to guarantee the tightest turning and reduce strain on the driveline.

New Holland designed the T5 with many jobs in mind—from front loader work to PTO and three-point mounted field implements.

HYDRAULIC POWER AND PTO FLEXIBILITYNew Holland T5 Series T5.120 Dual Command™

T5 Dynamic Command™ and Auto Command™ models are fitted with a 29 gpm (110 Lpm) CCLS pump that is ideal for operations requiring the most intensive hydraulic flows. New Holland has engineered the CCLS system to operate at peak efficiency. The benefit? Full hydraulic power is always available at the remote valves and linkage, but only delivers what is required. The result? Reduced fuel consumption.

REMOTE VALVES

T5 Dynamic Command™ and Auto Command™ models can be equipped with up to four rear remote valves, while Electro Command™ and Dual Command™ models can be equipped with up to three. Up to three mid-mount remote valves are available to operate the front linkage or a loader.

HYDRAULIC FLEXIBILITY

The T5 Series hydraulic system has tandem hydraulic pumps that work independently—one dedicated to the high-pressure circuit for hydraulic remotes and three-point hitch, and the second for the low-pressure circuit for steering. Up to three closed-center remote valves are available.

YOUR CHOICE OF JOYSTICK CONTROLNew Holland T5 Series T5.120 Dual Command™

You can specify your T5 with one of two mid-mount remote valves to operate a loader or specialized equipment using an integrated joystick. The mechanical joystick—mounted on the Command Arc console—offers robust functionality with positive engagement or select the electronic option—mounted on the seat armrest—for precise finger-tip actuation.

HIGH-CAPACITY 3-POINT HITCHNew Holland T5 Series T5.120 Dual Command™

T5 tractors offer a three-point lift capacity up to up to 12,125 lbs. (5500 kg), depending on the model, so you can handle the heaviest implements. Fender mounted hitch and power take off (PTO) controls make it easy to attach and remove an implement.

AUTO PTO OPERATION

Here’s a handy feature. With Auto PTO, the PTO disengages when the rear three-point hitch reaches the position you and tractor. A 540/1.000 rpm PTO is standard equipment, with a 540/540E/1.000 rpm PTO optional.

ELECTRONIC DRAFT CONTROLNew Holland T5 Series T5.120 Dual Command™

A single raise/lower switch makes it simple to lift and return an implement to work during a headland turn. How? New Holland’s ergonomic Electronic Draft Control is positioned just to your right, exactly where you need it, giving you ultimate precision. To fine-tune the system you can use the intuitive controls that are found underneath the armrest, precisely where you would expect them to be.

FULLY INTEGRATED FRONT LOADERS

If you need to move bales, feed, dirt or stone, order your T5 as full loader ready from the factory. The T5 is the perfect loader tractor thanks to the fast-responding loader joystick control, easy forward/reverse shuttling and superior visibility. Choose a loader with non-self-leveling (NSL) or mechanical self-leveling (MSL) capabilities. Regardless of the model you choose, both can be equipped with either a skid-steer-style or European-style attachment system.
