Overview

Enhanced with multiple technical revisions for 2024, the TC 65 comfortably retains its position as the best-in-class 65 cc motocross machine on the market today. For many young riders, it will be the first motocross model they ride with a manual clutch and gearbox. Knowing this, our engineers thoughtfully fitted a lightweight hydraulic clutch and smooth shifting 6-speed transmission. Now able to accommodate a wider range of youngsters, the TC 65 offers multiple ways in which to adjust the ergonomics around the new chassis. In terms of performance, a new exhaust, DS clutch, Formula brakes, and larger Twin Air filter combine to ensure an exceptional riding experience.

Bodywork

The clean and sleek bodywork is scaled down from what is found on the full-size machines and offers the same proven ergonomics. By replicating the design, youngsters will benefit from the larger contact points that allow them to grip the bike tighter with their legs for enhanced control. In addition, a new and flatter seat profile offers unrestricted movement.

Airbox

The process to remove and reinstall the air filter is simplified for 2024 and allows for faster, cleaner, and easier filter changes. With a redesigned airbox, accessible by removing the quick release seat by hand, the introduction of a snap lock mounting design for the air filter is fail proof and prevents dirt from falling into the intake tract. Additionally, the Twin Air filter has a larger surface area for increased air flow into the engine.

Handlebars & grips

High quality aluminum handlebars with a black anodized finish ensure reduced vibration and maximum stability. The new, modern bar bend is slightly wider for enhanced comfort and leads to better body positioning while riding. Thin diameter ODI grips allowing for a heightened level of control.

Fuel tank

Sleek in design and updated to fit onto the new frame and inside the revised bodywork, the fuel tank is now slightly slimmer overall with the capacity remaining unchanged.

Adjustable ergonomics

To accommodate youngsters of different sizes, the TC 65 now offers multiple adjustment options to suit a wider range of riders, based on their height and set-up preference. The handlebars can be mounted in four different positions, the rear shock can be positioned from standard high position into a lower setting, and the subframe and bodywork can be installed in two different places to suit each individual rider.

Frame

An all-new frame that is robot-welded and uses the same proven chromium molybdenum steel as the previous generation enhances the riding experience thanks to revised geometry and flex. Mirroring Husqvarna Motorcycles' full size motocross machines, the shock is no longer mounted to the upper frame tube, which reduces the energy transferred through the chassis and leads to greater stability. Frame protectors with a textured surface enhance control in all conditions and protects the dark blue metallic powder coating from wear.

Subframe

The lightweight and durable subframe is manufactured using a combination of polyamide reinforced with glass fiber and to steel bars. This new hybrid construction was first used on our full-size motocross models and now, with its reliability proven, can be found on the TC 65. Besides being robust, the subframe plays a vital role in ensuring outstanding handling and is height adjustable to offer tailored ergonomics adapting to the height of the rider.

Forged triple clamps

Aligning the forks perfectly, the forged triple clamps ensure smooth and uncompromised performance from the WP suspension. Refined for the new generation with a new mounting position for the front number plate, the triple clamps continue to offer calculated flex characteristics without sacrificing stability.

WP forks

Featuring the latest in suspension technology, the TC 65 is equipped with 35 mm WP XACT forks. Besides being very lightweight, the forks offer exceptional damping and comfort, which allow for youngsters to ride with complete confidence. Offering 215 mm of wheel travel, the air spring in the left fork leg can be easily adjusted using the supplied air pump to create the perfect set up for any rider.

WP shock

Connecting directly to the swingarm, the WP XACT shock is updated with revised settings to enhance the damping characteristics and improve the overall balance of the TC 65. With the ability to adjust the preload, high and low speed compression, and rebound settings, the WP XACT shock can be set up to suit any rider.

Swingarm

The hollow die-cast aluminum swingarm is manufactured from a single piece of aluminum for optimal stiffness and a 190 g weight reduction over previous generations. In order to optimize and match the flex characteristics of the new frame, a 14 mm rear axle is fitted. Additionally, the chain guard and chain slider are designed to prevent mud from building up around the swingarm.

Engine

Assembled with the latest in 2-stroke technology, the TC 65 is a highly competitive machine. Using the lightest and most durable materials to construct each component, the highlight of the engine is undoubtedly the pressure-controlled exhaust valve that ensures the highest level of performance. Additionally, the engine is complete with a manual 6-speed gearbox, a reliable hydraulic clutch, and a BRISK spark plug.

Cylinder & piston

The lightweight and durable aluminum cylinder features a Pressure Controlled Exhaust Valve (PCEV) that helps produce unrivalled performance to give all young riders a distinct advantage.

Transmission

Retaining the proven gear ratios developed specifically for the TC 65, the 6-speed transmission is now manufactured to be more durable by combining stronger steel with a revised production process.

Carburetor

New settings inside the proven 24 mm Mikuni carburettor maximize performance from the new engine. With considered revisions to the jetting, the TC 65 runs clean throughout the rev-range.

Exhaust system

An all-new exhaust system, manufactured using the same process as the full-size motocross machines, boosts performance. By removing the welding seams from the inside, exhaust gas flow is unrestricted, which results in a considerable improvement to overall power. The silencer now features a black anodized finish and improved sealing around the end cap with a tighter rubber seal between the header pipe and silencer completing the changes for 2024.

DS clutch

Introducing full size motorcycle clutch technology to the TC 65, the new DS clutch offers considerable durability. Housed inside a new steel basket, the Diaphragm Spring clutch maintains continued performance and control as the springs constantly compensate for wear. Together with a FORMULA hydraulic clutch, consistent clutch action is guaranteed.

Brakes

By combining hydraulically operated brake calipers from Formula, a 198 mm waved front disc, and a 180 mm waved rear disc, braking performance is both confidence inspiring and reliable. Durability has also been improved to extend maintenance schedules while a new, forged rear brake pedal, complete with the same tip as found on the full-size machines, enhances control.

Radiators

For efficient cooling, the TC 65 features two radiators that replicate the same design as found on Husqvarna Motorcycles' full-size motocross machines. A simplified routing of the hoses together with strong radiator protectors ensures continued performance and durability.

Wheels & tires

Lightweight aluminum hubs are laced to black anodized, aluminum rims using strong spokes to create a reliable set of wheels. Complete with MAXXIS MAXXCROSS-MX-ST tires, young riders will enjoy the benefits of excellent traction and predictability across a wide range of surfaces.
