Big VR
a V disc harrow with vertical folding and central axle

With a disc weight of between 110 and 140 kg (depending on version) the BigVR has greater penetration ability needed in difficult conditions.
This V disc harrow was designed for all stubble removal needs:
destruction of weeds, break down of capillary action to reduce moisture loss, self-seeding, management of organic residues and loosening roots.

Why a V?
High penetration and laceration: ideal for the destruction of large volumes of plant residu including woody plants (brush).
Burial and good distribution of plants in the top
soil: optimization of decomposition.
Leveling: development of regrowth that contributes to nitrate consumption.

Works on slopes with no missed spots.
A compensation actuator on the boom with elastomer shock absorber and stop control enables:
Optimization of load transfer
Shock absorption without constraints
Simplified adjustment
Good chassis support while working.

Angle setting
The setting of the angle of the front and rear disc gangs is either mechanical or hydraulic (option).
A wide choice of disks is available to adapt to all conditions.

Particular attention should be paid to:
Adjusting the angle of attack in function of:
soil type
weather conditions
desired level of finish
disc wear

The type of discs: smooth, serrated, alternating
The size: 610, 660, 710 mm diameter
thickness: 6, 7 or 8 mm
Disc spacing 230 or 270mm.

Two ranges are available:
Big VR from 40 to 52 discs disc spacing 230 or 270mm. Disc gangs mounted on a 40mm square shaft
Big VR L from 32 to 44 discs. disc spacing 270mm. Disc gangs mounted on a 50mm square shaft
