MOTOR
For 2024, our engineers focused on maximizing the performance from the MC 65 motor without sacrificing any reliability. And they've nailed it! Built with the latest in 2-stroke technology, it's the Pressure Controlled Exhaust Valve that really helps this little bike sing! Well, that, and the close ratio 6-speed transmission, machined crankcases, hydraulic clutch, new ignition, BRISK spark plug, and revised jetting settings, which combine to make the MC 65 absolutely rip. |
CYLINDER
Making power! The lightweight aluminum cylinder features a Pressure Controlled Exhaust Valve (PCEV) that delivers maximum performance throughout the entire rev-range. So, it goes without saying that youngsters racing the MC 65 will enjoy a clear advantage over their competition thanks to this cutting edge, 2-stroke technology. |
AIRBOX & FILTER
We get it. Changing air filters is boring (although it beats cleaning them!), so we've redesigned the airbox to make filter changes easier and faster by introducing a failproof snap-lock mounting design. There's also a new Twin Air filter with a larger surface area inside the airbox, which increases airflow into the motor. And you know what more air means - more power! |
CARBURETOR
With an all-new motor, exhaust, and intake, a few changes inside the 24mm Mikuni carburetor were essential. These revisions retain the high-revving performance of the MC 65, as well as making sure that reliability is never in question. |
EXHAUST
Unlocking more power from the 65cc motor is an all-new exhaust system. Built in the same way as our bigger 2-strokes, the welding seams on the inside are now removed for improved performance. This gives a noticeable boost to power throughout the rev-range and there's also a much better seal between the front pipe and silencer to keep the gases flowing in the right direction. |
TRANSMISSION
An improved manufacturing process and stronger steel combines to create a much more durable transmission for 2024. What hasn't changed, though, are the proven gear ratios which are retained to help keep the MC 65 in the sweet spot of the power at all times. |
CLUTCH
Built to last! The new DS clutch inside the MC 65 brings even more big-bike tech to this little red racer. For unrivalled durability, the Diaphragm Spring clutch is housed inside a new steel basket and as the springs are constantly compensating for any wear, performance never falters. And with a hydraulic clutch system, the lever is light to pull in and guarantees consistent action at all times. |
