Trip-Edge Design
Only the edge of the blade trips when an obstacle is encountered. It’s much less jarring than a full-trip blade, and because the plow blade stays upright, plowed snow remains in front of the blade. The FISHER® trip edge uses compression-type springs. They never need adjusting and don’t stretch like extension springs. |

Rugged Moldboard
![]() The 12-gauge steel moldboard is 29” high, and with independently controlled wings, the XLS™ extends from 8’ to 10’ wide. With both wings angled forward, you get the carrying capacity of a 8’ 10” scoop. Durable polyurethane wing cutting edges reduce wear and protect the blade – allowing it to “trip” in any position. The XLS snowplow features an aggressive 70-degree attack angle that provides a cleaner scrape and reduces the need for deicing after plowing. |
|
Blade Configurations Position your plow for maximum plowing efficiency at the touch of a button. The 8’ retracted position is perfect for transport and for narrow access areas, such as drive-through lanes or tight windrowing areas. The 10’ expanded-width position lets you take wider passes in larger, wide-open spaces. For unmatched windrowing productivity, angle the leading wing forward with the trailing wing extended, and you can use the full blade without spillover. Unparalleled windrowing efficiency, with no spillover on passes, reduces cleanup time. For the ultimate in snow-carrying capacity, angle both wings forward for an 8’ 10” scoop. The XLS™ can fully angle in the scoop position to effectively carry snow around corners, and maneuver in congested parking lots, something V-plows cannot do. |
|
Scoop Mode
The width and carrying area of the XLS™ plow in scoop mode delivers significantly greater snow carrying capacity. Plus, the XLS can fully angle in the scoop position to maximize plow handling and capacity – ideal for carrying large quantities of snow and plowing around corners, in congested parking lots, and along street curbs and sidewalks. |
|
Windrowing
The independently controlled wings on the XLS™ take windrowing to a whole new level. In a straight-blade position, plows must use less of a blade width with each pass to keep snow from flowing off the leading edge. With the XLS, you can expand and angle the leading wing forward, so snow is directed into the moldboard to eliminate spill-off. You can use the entire blade width to make the most of every pass. The expanded trailing wing also extends the clearing area of the plow beyond truck tires. This eliminates snow loss under your vehicle and effectively reduces windrow passes and cleanup. |
|
Structural Support The heavy-duty blade construction features eight vertical ribs plus one rib on each wing for extra strength. Hydraulic wing extensions slide laterally across the structurally reinforced slide box. The tough construction of this channel provides excellent torsional blade strength and prevents distortion under heavy loads. Durable polyurethane wing-cutting edges reduce wear and protect the blade – allowing it to “trip” in any position. With the FISHER® Trip-Edge design, four trip springs protect you, your plow and your vehicle. |

Minute Mount® 2 Snowplow Mounting System
A simple and trouble-free attachment system available. Its 100% mechanical design means there are no electrical components or hydraulic components to fail. The attachment arms and lower gear are flared both vertically and horizontally to make the drive-in connection easy. |
|
Reliable Hydraulics
We build our own hydraulics for unmatched speed and durability. Fast hydraulics allow you to change the blade position quickly and easily for efficient plowing. All critical hydraulic components are fully enclosed for protection from the elements. |
|
Chain Lift System
With the chain lift system, you get instantaneous “float” when lowering the blade. Unrestricted, the blade can freely follow the contours of the plowing surface for a cleaner scrape. With the chain lift you can stack higher because you’re not limited by the hydraulic ram stroke. In the rare event of a hydraulic failure, you can push the plow up into a snow bank and “short chain” the plow by attaching it to the specially designed bracket and safely transport the plow back to the shop. |
|
Universal In-Cab Plow Controls
Choose between the convenient hand-held Fish-Stik® control or the compact joystick control for efficient, intuitive plow blade control. Fish-Stik Control The convenient hand-held control with backlit directional buttons provides precise response. Features power “on” and “float” LED and automatic shut-off. Compact Joystick Control The compact joystick control features a plug-in connector for easy removal and on/off indicator light. |
|
FLEET FLEX Electrical System
One Truck. One Control. Any Plow. With the FISHER® FLEETFLEX Electrical System, you have true fleet interchangeability. Unlike other manufacturers who require a different control for different plows, the FISHER FLEET FLEX system lets you operate all plows using ONE CONTROL. Features include: Universal Fish-Stik® Hand-held or Joystick Controls Programmable "soft-stop" and "one-touch" float Built-In SECURITY GUARD™ Anti-Theft System Easy operation and increased reliability Simple wiring and easier installation |
|
SECURITY GUARD™ Anti-Theft System
The exclusive FISHER® SECURITY GUARD™ Anti-Theft System is a safe and secure way to electronically “lock” your snow plow while it is detached from the truck, providing a deterrent from theft or non-permitted use. Unlike physical locks that can be cut or removed, the SECURITY GUARD Anti-Theft System electronically synchronizes your control and plow module. When activated, it disables the electronic control system and renders the snow plow inoperable to unauthorized users. |
|
INTENSIFIRE™ Halogen Headlamps
The state-of-the-art reflector optics provide a smooth wide beam pattern that illuminates the entire plowing surface, with minimal glare above the lamp, especially during snowfall. 1,500 hour, H I 3, long-life headlamp bulb minimizes bulb replacement over the life of the lamp. Three-screw bulb access cover attachment and twist-in headlamp bulb makes replacement quick and easy. Lens is adhesive bonded to the reflector and the reflector is adhesive bonded to the housing, sealing out water that could potentially freeze and damage the assembly. Robust, two-stud mounting keeps the lamp in its original mounting position – even when subjected to the harshest shock and vibration forces. |
|
STORM GUARD Baked-On Powder Coat
The industry’s best protection against wear and rust. With the STORM GUARD™ powder coating process, the automated climate-controlled powder booth ensures uniform coverage to all surfaces. We’ve added a new epoxy primer to further enhance powder coat adhesion and improve corrosion resistance. Plus our trademark FISHER® yellow finish is reformulated to maintain that new snow plow look even longer. |
