Machine of the Year 2014

The AGCO/Fendt Team was pleased to receive the “Machine of the Year” award at the official awards ceremony. “When selecting our award winners, we paid special attention to practicability,” explained Detlef Steinert, Editor in Chief of the dlz agrarmagazin, in his welcoming words at the awards ceremony. The 500 Vario is convincing in its overall design concept, with optimal ergonomics and cutting-edge, highly efficient technologies. The Variotronic and Varioterminal, VarioGuide and VarioDoc documentation, are only a few of the features with which Fendt sets standards in the power class from 125 to 165 hp.

The Fendt 500 Vario series received an AE50 Award from the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE). This award celebrates product innovations in the areas of agricultural, food and biological systems.

Fendt presents the CargoProfi front loader at the AGRITECHNICA 2011. The Profi loader is based on the tried and proven Cargo front loader. Sensors installed in the 5X arm allow completely new features to be realised. Innovations, such as the weighing and memo functions, make work with the front loader even easier and enormously increase efficiency. The jury gave these developments a silver medal.

A silver medal went to another innovation from Fendt. The load relief control for the front linkage promises optimum adaptation to ground contours. It transfers part of the weight of contour-hugging implements to the tractor. Relief springs are therefore no longer required during mowing operations. Active detection of uneven ground with the aid of a position sensor on the front linkage permits dynamic adjustment to changing ground contours.

The Fendt 500 Vario received the Most Innovative New Product of the Year Award at the “Irish Farm Machinery Show”, which was held at the racetrack in Punchestown in February 2013. The 500 Vario series unites the leading Fendt exhaust technology, the well-known Vario transmission, low fuel consumption and the Variotronic system to enable more efficient operations, even in the medium output class.
