TRANSMISSION

Power alone means nothing if it cannot be translated into precise and flexible performance on the road and in the field – and with minimum driver effort. Here the Agrofarm TB again shows real strength. Two transmission options are available: a simple mechanical 10/10 – 20/20 speed gearbox with optional Hi-Lo technology and a mechanical reverse shuttle with two or four ranges, or a hydraulic 20/20 – 40/40 Powershift gearbox with Hi-Lo Powershift and two or four ranges. This is a fully functional hydraulic PowerShuttle, letting the driver change direction while in motion and under load with no interruption in torque transmission. The system includes two electronically controlled, long-life, wet-plate clutches (one for each direction). A lever conveniently located below the steering wheel inverts the direction of travel very smoothly, first bringing the tractor to a halt before it restarts in the opposite direction – a gradual and fluid process. When the direction of travel is changed, one clutch disengages while the other starts to engage at a gradual, proportional rate. This balanced action ensures precise manoeuvring with no kickback and no torque loss, even on gradients.

GS versions are also equipped with the Stop&Go system and the ComfortClutch button on the transmission lever, which allows the driver to shift gear without using the clutch pedal. The Stop&Go system enhances the capabilities and performance of the hydraulic PowerShuttle for maximum productivity and efficiency, even when the tractor is working in confined spaces. The Stop&Go system lets the driver manoeuvre precisely using only the brake pedal without having to operate the clutch. When the system is enabled, the clutch of the hydraulic PowerShuttle disengages and is held open while the brake pedal is depressed, bringing the tractor to a smooth stop. When the driver releases the brakes, the exact opposite occurs: the clutch is gradually re-engaged, and the tractor moves off in the selected direction.

PTO

Thanks to PTO speeds in different configurations (540/540ECO/1000/1000ECO), ground speed PTO with an independent output shaft and a fixed or removable shaft, the Agrofarm TB is a multipurpose tractor capable of handling a wide range of applications. The PTO clutch is an independent, multi-plate, wet-clutch unit with electrohydraulic controls operated by a switch.

Hydraulic system

The true versatility of a tractor can only be seen when equipment is fitted to the attachment points. And there is almost nothing as versatile as the Agrofarm TB.
The rear lift offering the best precision, control and efficiency in the field. The Agrofarm TB tractors come with an upgraded mechanical rear lift featuring an internal cylinder as standard, but may also be equipped with two additional rams as an option to increase the maximum lifting capacity to 4500 kg. The new rear lift box (SAC – Stazione Automatica di Controllo) allows the use of equipment with much greater precision and less load on the mechanical control levers. There is also an external switch on the right rear mudguard to control the lift. The open-centre hydraulic system with a flow rate of 56 L/min offers between four and six rear ways together with mechanical controls and tank oil leakage recovery.

Stability, manoeuvrability and safety – the Agrofarm TB moves with certainty in any situation and on any terrain, including the road. On difficult land, the four-wheel drive and 100% differential lock are easy to activate using electrohydraulic controls. Double steering cylinders make handling incredibly light, and a steering angle of 50° means you can manoeuvre easily and accurately in even the smallest space.

A unique feature is the braking system. All Agrofarm TB models are fitted with four-wheel brakes. A separate brake valve distributes the braking force to individual wheels on the front and rear axles to generate maximum braking force in any situation and on any surface. The front axle features separate high-performance disc brakes in an oil bath.
