MAN Engine

The six-cylinder, 12.4-liter MAN engine delivers an impressive 1,770 ft. lbs. of torque at 1,100 RPM. Developed using a high-torque-at- low speed engine concept to ensure the engine, transmission, fan and hydraulics function at maximum capacity, using the lowest engine speeds delivering maximum torque and low fuel consumption.

ACCUDRIVE
The optional twin-pump design provides a flow of up to 85 GPM, and offers incredible control and stability while reducing fuel consumption. Take full command of the MT900E’s formidable hydraulics system with up to 6 remotes and couplers.

ACCU-VT

Built with the most demanding jobsites in mind, the CAT 16-speed Powershift transmission gives you 8 gears in the working range while providing a transport speed of up to 25 MPH. Smoother shifting and better control helps you keep working longer.

Tractor Management Center
Though the Challenger 1000 Series tractor is a highly sophisticated machine, the Tractor Management Center makes it simple to operate. All functions, whether in the terminal or on the multi-function armrest, are color-coordinated to the controls that operate them, and the ergonomic design keeps all tasks and functions comfortably within the operator’s reach, reducing time and fatigue.

Air System

The Concentric Air System (CAS) cooling unit uses a unique front fan to pull in cold, dense air, accelerate it over the hood, and press it through the radiator. The CAS delivers optimal cooling power to each component, according to need, independent of engine speed.
