HIGH-QUALITY SMALL-GRAIN HARVESTING 

Case IH 3016 belt-type and rake-up pickup heads for Axial-Flow® combines are made to harvest cereal grains, beans, peas, lentils, canola or grass seed.

  Features

Smooth Pickup

The 3016 pickup head features:

  • An integrated seed dam between the rear picking belt roller and floor — prevents grain/header loss with no need for a rubber seal
  • A fully welded mainframe — 6 in. x 6 in.
  • A heavy-duty, fully welded auger — floating 26-in. (660-mm) diameter with deep flighting
  • Double V pattern retractable auger fingers with patented rubber retaining system — prevents finger from being ingested into the combine and allows for easy finger replacement
  • A heavy-duty RC 80 auger drive chain
  • A rear wind guard — in-cab, hydraulic height adjustment with single-handle, manual-pitch adjustment
  • Fixed gauge wheels with height adjustment allows for optimum picking
  • Flexing pickup frame — allows up to 12 in. of flex within the picking frame
  • Plastic teeth on the pickup belt for gentle handling of crop
  • A two-stage delivery unit — has a pickup belt and transfer belt to optimize pickup and transfer of crop
  • No daily service points required

Small Grain Configuration

  • 15-ft. header width, 14-ft.–11.5-in picking width
  • 3-section (5 ft. each) belts for pickup and transfer

Grass Seed Special

  • 12-ft. header width, 11-ft.-11 in. picking width
  • One 12-ft. belt for pickup and transfer

Optional

  • In-cab hydraulically suspended pickup — provides ultimate flotation when combined with the lateral flexing of the picking frame while maintaining consistent ground pressure
  • Castor gauge wheels optional on both the 12-ft. grass seed configuration and 15-ft. small grain configuration — provides enhanced tracking in turns and eliminates ground scuffing while reducing frame stress
  • Auxiliary front wind guard — for use in short crops, which tend to bunch or roll in front of the picking belt
